Quantum Dot Micro Lens Array
Current technology is a method of manufacturing MLA and QD respectively and bonding them. However, both MLA and QD bend easily and are difficult to handle in the bonding process and require special equipment each for alignment and bonding in 2-times. The resolution and optical loss are very large due to the 2-times bonding which is very difficult and expensive in the display industry. QD MLA has the advantages of minimizing alignment and bonding process reducing optical loss. It provides high resolution and relatively easy handling.
The Ni Alloy-based tools (molds) for QD MLA molding is manufactured with high precision using S-ECAM technology.
The Upper mold forms the morphology of Micro Lens Array, and the Down mold forms the hole structures for later in
jecting the Quantum Dot material into them. It has the advantage of being able to manufacture Ultra-Precision tools
(molds) by 3D printing using S-ECAM equipment, as well as improving tools (molds) by immediately reflecting the quali
ty evaluation results for QD MLA molding.
